Double-Blind Peer Review System

The African Journal of Finance, Taxation, and Fiscal Policy (AJFTFP) adopts a strict double-blind peer review system to guarantee objectivity, academic rigor, and impartiality. The identity of authors is concealed from reviewers, and the identity of reviewers is concealed from authors throughout the entire evaluation lifecycle.

Review Workflow

The 4-Stage Review Process

1
Desk Review & Plagiarism Check Days 1–5

Managing Editor screens formatting, scope, and verifies Turnitin similarity is < 15% (single source < 3%).

2
Reviewer Assignment Days 5–7

Manuscripts are assigned to at least two (2) independent subject-matter expert reviewers.

3
Double-Blind Evaluation Weeks 1–3

Reviewers assess theoretical depth, econometric rigor, data accuracy, policy relevance, and original contribution.

4
Editorial Decision Weeks 1–4

Editor-in-Chief synthesizes reviewer reports and communicates decision (Accept, Minor Revisions, Revise & Resubmit, or Reject).
